This is a quick overview of the procedure to replace spark plugs in a 2004 Toyota Matrix XR (1ZZ-FE Corolla engine) with a little over 30000 miles on it. In regards to the audio, the attempt at a vocal melody was to basically try to be 5th below the chord, except a 5th above here and there. I doubt it came out that way. :p Lyrics: Disconnect the battery, and then you’re ready to go… Remove the engine cover, and you’ll see what you need to know… Clean any dust and dirt, just like at a car show… Loosen the thing that holds the connectors in a row… Extract the ignition coils which provide electric flow… Out with old, in with the new, no status quo… Crack the head if you overtorque, but too loose and it will glow… They probably got Iridium from a UFO… Check out Matrix Owners dot com discussion board for more detailed “how-to’s” for this car. I got NGK Iridium IX (Japan) spark plugs from Summit Racing. They were pre-gapped at the factory (if you need reduced gap for a supercharged application be sure to not touch the iridium during the adjustment). The OE NGK’s were Iridium (USA). This is recorded in Sonar 6. I used a Seymour Duncan ‘59 for the “metal” riff which was just the power 1/5 chord and moved the 5 up to a b6 ever other measure for that extra tension. The lead was with the Seymour Duncan TB-5. The bass and guitar was processed through the AdrenaLinn III. Soft synths used were Rapture.

Why do you take off the spark plug?
How come it’s dirty and is it important?
Please answer soon, thanx
Thanks a lot. your video helps me a lot. I found that the key point that you mentioned “loose 2 bolts which holds the plastic strip which routes the ignition cable” was very helpful. Thanks a lot. Keep it up.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sorry but the voice was 2 deep
Newer cars have so many parts to lose, and thats just to get to something simple like a spark plug.
Sounds good Svet! Looking forward to your vid.
Love the heavy song!!! Kinda sounds Iron Maidenish.
Absolutely!
I’m working on my infamous music video and after the damn thing is finished, I will gladly colaborate.
Bad English makes Metal heavier.
Thanks C!
Thanks Svet! We should do an “international” collaboration on a metal project in the future.
Man, I enjoy your qick song projects A LOT.
But this is the first heavy song I hear from you.
And you know what: It was about time!
The synth sounds awesome, tapping solo fits the song like a glove.
